Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9072, otherwise known as the National Caves and Cave Resources Management and Protection Act of 2001, and Sections 10, 12 and 13 of its lmplementing Rules and Regulations, (DAO 2003-29), a Manual on Cave Classification is hereby prescribed and adopted for all caves within public domain and private lands, including those found within protected areas for the guidance of all concerned. After the May 8, 2024 assessment of the Kamuaging Cave, the results found out that the cave is classified as Type II but with areas suitable for tourists. The classification was named because there are portions of the cave that contain hazards. The result was rolled out by the CENRO Manay together with Resource Person from USEP Geology Mr. Christian Paul Escarian. After the announcement of the result follows the planning for the Kamuaging Cave Management Plan to be attended by the barangay stakeholders.
