DTI TRAINS
A group of seventeen (17) Mandaya women from Barangay Rizal in the Municipality of Manay trained for accessories making conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry. This training is part of the capacity building of the department to the different barangays in the municipality. It is expected that with the trainings of such would help benefit the people of barangay Rizal especially with the presence of Tagdalid Falls, an emerging destination in their barangay. Thus, Mayor Japhet M. Quibo has a strong support to this trainings as it give more knowledge to the people that they could use in starting up a business. Special thanks to Mayor Japhet M. Quibo, OIC PD Sylvia R. Ordiz of DTI Davao Oriental, Punong Barangay Guillerma L. Mariano of Barangay Rizal, JBC Jovelyn B. Murcia and MTIO Jan Michael Belena of Negosyo Center Manay and Trainor Jose Masumpad. Note: Minimum health standards are followed during the conduct of this activity.

NSB SA LAMBOG
Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay or NSB is an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) which aims to; increase awareness about the services offered by the DTI through its Negosyo Centers, identify MSMEs with business operations within barangays, and conduct business development assistance and other services. Today, April 20, 2021, an NSB initiative was fulfilled in Barangay Lambog. It was attended by 27 participants coming from different purok of the barangay together with the facilitators coming from National Govt. Agencies such as the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC). There were trainings given (Papaya Pickle and Puto Cheese Making) and entrepreneurial mindsetting for those individuals that would like to have a business. BLGU Lambog with their Punong Barangay Hon. Agustino P. Lanus extended their greatest thanks to the different agencies who attended the said event. The event was also graced by no other than Mayor Japhet M. Quibo whom appreciated the efforts by the industry department. He saw an opportunity for the participants to know, thus, he challenged all the participants to use their learnings on the different trainings done during the said event to be used as starting capital for business. At the end of the program, a total of ten (10) participants was raffled to receive starter kits worth Php. 3,000.00! Special thanks to DTI Davao Oriental OIC-PD Mam Sylvia Ordiz, JBC Jovelyn Bermoy, Jennieluz Sandayan and MTIO Jan Michael Belena of NC Manay, Vina Ynclino and Edmond Handucana of DTI Davao Oriental, Alberto Valenteros of PCIC and trainor Robert Getes. Also to Hon. Agustino P. Lanus and BLGU Lambog for the warm welcome as well as to our supportive Mayor Japhet M. Quibo! Indeed, DTI assists and DTI works with the assistance of different stakeholders.

BUSINESS NAME
We would like to inform all people who would like to have a business to register your business' name with the DTI. The Business Name Registration merely provides the business a LEGAL IDENTITY; in order to actually operate the business, you need a BUSINESS PERMIT. The Business Name Registration Certificate from the DTI will also be the primary requirement for the Business Permit and Licensing Division especially that Manay is implementing the Electronic Business Processing and Licensing System of e-BPLS. Also, a gentle reminder to our Manayan business owners to look into the expiration dates of your DTI Business Name Registration Certificate. Be reminded that you have six months after the expiration to renew your business name. You can also have early renewal of your business name registration too.
