Pursuant to the formulation of the Local Climate Change Action (LCCAP) Plan 2024-2030 and the Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) Plan 2024-2028, an orientation was held last July 28, 2030 at the Sangguniang Bayan Manay. The orientation was attended by the members of the LCCAP and ICM Technical Working Group being identified through the Executive Orders 34 (Creation of ICM TWG) and 38 (Creation of LCCAP TWG and Planning Core) signed by Mayor Jon Marco M. Dayanghirang. These plans aims to put climate smart, resilient, and a more environmentally sound projects for the municipality. Indeed, Manay through the leadership of Mayor Jon Marco M. Dayanghirang is geared towards a more climate resilient implementation of various projects for the municipality.

Pursuant to the protection, conservation, and Tourism developments of Lake Diomaboc, a consultation meeting is held today July 28, 2023 at Lake Diomaboc in Sitio Matabang, Barangay Taocanga, Manay Davao Oriental. This dialogue with the stakeholders of the lake is part of the priorities of Mayor Jon Marco M. Dayanghirang for its development. It has been noted that there are various agencies that has given commitments to implement projects in the sitio such as the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) specifically for research extension, Wildlife Assessment for Inland Wetland by the PENRO Davao Oriental and CENRO Manay, and the Provincial Tourism and Manay Tourism for Lake Diomaboc Tourism Development. The dialogue of the stakeholders gave a clear path on securing the process of the consent (FPIC) by the Mandaya Tribe of Taocanga. It is noted that Taocanga is part of the Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title of Manay whose land are comprises of one-third of total land area of the municipality. Present in the consultative dialogue are Dr. Roy G. Ponce of DOrSU and his team, PMaj Meliton J. Sango I of PNP Manay, Arnel Gayta and Merlita Calungsod of PENRO Davao Oriental, Lea Basañez and the team from CENRO Manay, Jan Michael Belena of MPDC / Manay Tourism Culture and Arts, Enrique Magdagasang of the IPS Manay, Hon. Mariano Bayacag and council of BLGU Taocanga, the RPSB Manay headed by Alexander Mamparo Jr., and Engr. Eileen Rose S. Veloso of MEO Manay. The dialogue was headed by Municipal Administrator Ednar Dayanghirang. National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) Provincial Officer Emmanuel Cacal was also invited in the dialogue. With its tagline SUROYA SI MANAY and with Mayor Dayanghirang's eco-agri-cultural priorities, Manay is on its way on the developments of its potentials for the benefit of the Manayans and for the whole world to experience.
