As we celebrate the Tourism Month 2024 with the theme: "Tourism and Peace", Manayan tourist establishments and community embarked in various capability building with the collaboration of the Department of Tourism Region XI. Last September 5, 2024, our tourism stakeholders have given Filipino Brand of Service Excellence. This training aims to amplify the Filipino Brand as well as to uplift services given to the tourists by the promotion of the 7Ms core values: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, Makabansa, Masayahin, May Bayanihan, and May Pag-asa. The FBSE training was given by the former DOT Regional Director of Caraga Region, Mam Leticia Dela Cruz-Tan, citing that Siargao also started in a small tourism but when its potential was found the community have been empowered for the tourism to develop. As one of the thrust of Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang, the tourism industry of Manay is now being assessed for its full capacity in order to gain momentum for its full swing and with its momentum Peace is one of the things that should be in partnership and given importance too. Special thanks to DOT RD Tanya Rabat-Tan for the realization of this collaboration.
