OTOP STORE EXPRESS

The OTOP Store Express project that was funded under the BUB-DTI will be on full swing this year. In photos are some of the officers and members of Yagkauyon Kooperatiba ng San Ignacio headed by their President Mr. Victorio Longyapon with the presence of MTIO/LEIPO Jan Michael Belena and DTI OIC Provincial Director Sylvia Ordiz. This project aims to help the Yagkauyon Kooperatiba ng San Ignacio to establish an OTOP Store in the municipality, thru the help of the fund coming from the BUB project and LGU Manay. With the establishment of the OTOP Store in San Ignacio it could help MSMEs for easy access of market of their products. It was known that the municipality have quality products such as the Banana Chips of SIFCO, Pinato of Barangay Central, Salabat of San Isidro Women, Coco Jam of Holy Cross Lady Farmers and many more. Indeed, creating a culture of industry is significant in the municipality as it has positive effects in the economy of the Manay.

BUSINESS MINDSETTING

The Department of Trade and Industry in collaboration with the LGU Manay and Negosyo Center Manay conducted a Business Mindsetting Seminar for the selected Youth in Manay. Due to the existing protocols, only ten (10) participants are allowed for the activity. The seminar was spearheaded by the DTI JBC Jovelyn Murcia assisted by Jennieluz Sandayan of NC Manay, Manay Youth Coordinator Marivick Babatid and MTIO Jan Michael Belena. Note: Due to the existing rules and protocols, the activity participants as well as the organizers followed minimum health protocols set by the health department.

BUSINESS NAME

We would like to inform all people who would like to have a business to register your business' name with the DTI. The Business Name Registration merely provides the business a LEGAL IDENTITY; in order to actually operate the business, you need a BUSINESS PERMIT. The Business Name Registration Certificate from the DTI will also be the primary requirement for the Business Permit and Licensing Division especially that Manay is implementing the Electronic Business Processing and Licensing System of e-BPLS. Also, a gentle reminder to our Manayan business owners to look into the expiration dates of your DTI Business Name Registration Certificate. Be reminded that you have six months after the expiration to renew your business name. You can also have early renewal of your business name registration too.
