Last April 24, 2023, Manay Tourism thru Tourism Officer Designate Jan Michael Belena had a dialogue with the Manay North and South Districts represented by Mam Maribeth Mission (DepEd North) and Sir Joselito Blas (DepEd South) and the Indigenous People of Manay represented by Mr. Oldegario Mamelic to discussed possible activities for the National Heritage Month 2023 celebration. This year's celebration of the heritage month has a theme, "HERITAGE: CHANGE & CONTINUITY" (Pamana: Pagpapatuloy at Pagbabago)

As the series of tourism dialogue continues, this time the team went to Barangay Del Pilar, Manay, Davao Oriental for a dialogue for the tourism activities of Panontongan Ridge. Together with the BLGU Del Pilar headed by Elegrino Paciano, the landowners of those trails leading to Panontongan Ridge, IP leaders, Manay Tourism represented by Tourism Officer Jan Michael Belena, Tour Guides Roen Limentang and Lilmer Macadagat, BLGU Cayawan and other stakeholders. The dialogue was spearheaded by Municipal Administrator Ednar Dayanghirang thru the Inclusive and Participative Governance initiative of Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang. Significant concerns were raised during the dialogue which includes the road condition and road right of ways which in a way affects road developments. The inclusion of the two other barangays of Cayawan and Zaragoza which constitutes the tri-boundary system of Panontongan ridge. It has been noted that a boundary marker can be found on the ridge for the three barangays. Indeed, this meeting will become a start of a long journey on the reopening of the Panontongan ridge to the public as the municipality gears toward eco-tourism. SUROYA SI MANAY!
